I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Melissa Silva and I am very excited to join the WorldSong Schools community. During my time here, my main purpose to provide a healthy, safe, nurturing and educational program for your child(ren).

My love for children began 30 years ago as I began fresh out of college as a first-grade teacher. After teaching in the elementary schools, I realized that my true passion was with the little ones and started my career in early childhood. I spent time teaching in a toddler room and completely fell in the love with the joy you could find in the eyes of a two-year old. After spending a few years teaching, I became an administrator and since then I have had the best of both worlds. I get to mentor teachers, manage the program, build relationships with all the families while still getting the chance to play with the children. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Education and Psychology from Salem State University. I am Director II certified by the Department of Early Education and Care. I have worked in a variety of environments including for profit, non-profit and have assisted in starting up several early childhood programs. I have spent most of my career working in rural areas and enjoy working in diverse communities. I also have my broker license in Real Estate.

On a more personal side, I reside in Ipswich and am the mom to two amazing adult children. My daughter, who is 21 in her final year of college at the University of Massachusetts and looking forward to starting law school in the Fall. My son, who is 25 and just moved back to Massachusetts from California after attending the University of California. I am also a proud pup mom to two dogs.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my children, taking walks with my dogs and skiing. I love reading and binge watching some of my favorite programs. Also, I donate some of my time preparing meals at my local shelter and enjoy collecting toys for children that are less fortunate during the holiday season. You can always catch me gardening and planting when the weather allows here in the unpredictable northeast.

I am looking forward to this new journey I get to share with all the families at WorldSong Schools!

Wenrui believes that music brings life to childhood

Wenrui Li is passionate about creating spaces where children can develop their true potential

Meet, Love, Growth.

We are Peitong and Wenrui with our three children, Leia, Luke, and Levi. My wife and I met in Boston while in Northeastern graduate school. We married here and had our firstborn after she graduated. We fell in love when we first met this lovely little angel girl, and we decided to name her Leia to become our princess forever. Then my family grew to four and five. Leia’s brother is named Luke, like Skywalker’s family, and the little brother, we keep the same pattern with an L start and four letters.Leia graduated from Montessori school, and we see her growth from every perspective. The independent learning and mixed-age program benefit my daughter a lot in her development. She practices how to care for small kids and peer-to-peer learning with older kids. Also, we found that music can help children calm down when they are fussy, make them happy, and even guild them to do some activities they usually will not want to do, like wash hands, brush teeth, etc. We love our kids and love to grow with them together. That gives us the passion for passing the experience to more kids and families.

The philosophy of WorldSong Schoolss perfectly fits our dream. I can’t wait to meet kids and families here.

We’d love for your family to meet ours

We serve children aged 0 to 6. Come visit our amazing school in Central Square!
